FAQ's

I have hundreds of power amps, integrated amps, pre-amps, speakers, receivers, reel-to-reel decks, tape, tuners, cassette decks and other gear in stock!

Be patient and you'll probably see what you're looking for in the coming months.

I do sell a number of units that don't make it onto the web-site.  They just go faster than I can list them sometimes. Let me know what you're looking for.

8-05-08:  This site will undergo a major overhaul in  2008.  Hopefully all browser issues will be fixed and I will have a slew of new equipment to show for sale.

NOTE:  8-05-08  I've been dealing with a family illness for some time now and haven't been available much. I'm sorry if I've missed your business but I'm sure you understand that family comes first. Just keep trying me and I'll do my best to satisfy your needs.

The above picture is NOT my house :).  I get lots of compliments on this building but it's only my office and studio. Neat place to work in.  I live in a log cabin with this and another larger outbuilding on my property.  I have a 20-second commute in the morn.

Due to the many requests for repair or servicing, I am considering taking in vintage audio equipment for repair. Let me know if you are interested in this service by sending me an email and detail what type of repair or service you desire.  List the type of equipment, make and model and what needs to be done to the best of your knowledge.  Understand that repair times could be lengthy because of shipping time and also that shipping could be expensive depending on the weight of your equipment. Also for example consider that a normal tune-up and servicing of controls on a receiver costs about $150 not including the shipping. Of course I would do my best to give an accurate estimate prior to having the equipment shipped to me.

Email me at mailto:randyr@randallareed.com and tell me what you want to buy or have for sale.  Please wait until I respond before sending pictures!

I've been real busy combing the countryside for 'new' vintage equipment and I think you'll be pleased with the selection.  As always if you don't see it - call!  I only list gear on here that's ready to go.  If you have a particular model in mind, let me know and I'll put you on the waiting list for that unit.  When it's done you'll get a call from me.

I make every effort to insure that you are happy with your purchase.  Please see the FAQ's section for more details on warranty, shipping, costs, returns and refurbishing.

This is a part-time job for me.  I do not make my living selling audio gear.  I do it to share my love of vintage equipment with others.  I make my living designing and selling robot systems to industry. This translates to selling you what you want and making you happy with your purchase.  I won't tell you a story just to make a sale.

Since this is part-time for me, be patient when contacting me.  E-mail works best but you can call me and leave a message.  I travel some so be patient while waiting for an answer.  It can take several days before you get an answer.  You can call M-F 10A-6P Central Time.  Sat 10A-4P.  No Sunday calls please!

I ship to USA - 48 lower states only.  Ship-out from my facility takes from 5 - 15 business days depending on my workload.

NO INTERNATIONAL ORDERS!

No parts sales.

I never share or sell any personal information.  I also do not put my mailing address on the web-site to cut down junk mail on this end. Living in the boonies also makes me not list my address for security reasons as all of this vintage gear acts like a huge magnet if you know what I mean.  Rest assured this is a real business and I will give you my mailing address when we do business together.

NOTE: I've gotten many requests for repair.  I am thinking of producing and marketing a video and manual that will show the home user all of the step-by-step basic maintenance for reel-to-reels, cassettes, receivers, power amps and pre-amps.  MSRP will be approximately $40. Please email me and let me know if you would be interested in this product.
